Toxins

Does your body sometimes seem to be heavy, and you feel lazy even if trying to make the slightest move, although you’re not sick? You are more than willing to be energetic but your body is just not up to it? And knowing that you should not feel this way you try to address the problem by resorting to eating more, gulping down cups of coffee and smoking, thinking that you will feel lively in a little while; but while you think you will feel better, you have actually taken large amounts of toxins into your body without knowing it. When this happens more frequently, you really should detoxify.

And let’s be practical, in today’s ever-dynamic and fast-pace society, in which our bodies are constantly active so that we can keep up with the fast-paced lifestyles, we resort to body stimulants like coffee, cigarettes, diet pills, drugs and other such stimulants thinking that they will help our body to stay up all the time, but that does not happen because these stimulants cause us to lose energy and create physical and emotional symptoms such as headaches, sickness and depression. This is because you take in toxins to the body intentionally through the substances mentioned above, and unintentionally with the air we breathe, the food we eat and the water along with other beverages we drink.

Knowing

Having a better understanding of how these toxins enter our body, the question still remains as to what exactly are they. What is a toxin? What are these agents that cause the body so much harm if left unattended? To answer this question as accurately and thoroughly as would be considered reasonable – if not acceptable – we should first take a look at how the word is defined by an authoritative text, meaning a dictionary. Therefore, according to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, a toxin is “a poisonous substance that is a specific product of the metabolic activities of a living organism and is usually very unstable, notably toxic when introduced into the tissues, and typically capable of inducing antibody formation.”

There are two kinds of toxins, the exogenous – or external – toxins and endogenous, or internal toxins. The exogenous toxins come from external sources such as car fumes, tobacco smoke, drugs and factory pollution, among other poisonous substances. The endogenous toxins come from viral or bacterial infection. In addition to these two types of toxins, the body creates its own toxins known as autogenous toxins as a result of how the metabolism works. Among the harmful – and sometimes lethal – substances that enter our bodies on a daily basis through the same methods of entry are heavy metals like lead, cadmium and mercury which settles in our organs, joints, and brains but are not as easily removable as the toxins described above.

Stimulants

To remove toxins as well as heavy metals from the body it is recommended that we undergo a process known as detoxification, which is defined as the removal of stored toxic products from the bowel, the blood, liver, and kidneys. This detoxification process also removes large amounts of toxic substances stored in body fat in an effort to cure chronic illnesses such as autoimmune diseases, seventy percent of which are caused by the environment.

However, based on extensive research and study by the scientific community it has been determined that removal of heavy metals from our joints and brains are achieved most effectively by micronized zeolites which, when developed in a water soluble solution, have the capacity to reach those areas and attach themselves to the heavy metals thereby removing them through the natural process of urination. Of course, an individual’s healthy diet – which might include raw foods, specifically fruits and vegetables – will greatly enhance continuous health and wellness, so eat healthy and detox daily.

Remove & replace

The bodily functions occur naturally all day long, and when it is rested during sleep until about noon are the hours when detoxification occurs to eliminate those toxins acquired from pollution, stimulants and other substances; but for the ever busy folks it is suggested that they substitute such stimulants with natural diet to acquire a healthy and active body as most common stimulants taken by people are refined white sugar, coffee, diet pills, cigarettes and red meat which inhibit the body from its most healthy state.

Sugar has a stimulating effect which creates the feeling of invigoration when we drink sodas and other sweet drinks, but what most folks do not know is that refined white sugar often has detrimental effects on the body. Good examples of products containing refined white sugar are cola and ketchup, so it is recommended that if you consume such foods, replace them with brown sugar produced from natural sugar cane and fruit juices which also provide the same kick as refined white sugar.

Those who work nights often resort to drinking coffee to keep them awake and, as a natural substitute to coffee, is green tea which provides an equally detoxifying effect and delivers the same kick as coffee because it also contains caffeine, but it does not contain substances that are irritating to the stomach.

Diet pills are considered stimulants which send a message to the body that it is being kept alive. This may be observed in athletes, especially during times of special competition since they use up more energy. Such pills might be taken despite the toxic effect on the body; but in lieu of of such stimulants, athletes should eat a variety of fruits due to their natural detoxifying qualities.

For cigarette smokers who think smoking stimulates their mind to think, they must think twice because it has been proven in all studies conducted on tobacco products that smoking causes cancer. If they eat carrots instead, they will experience the same effect in a more natural way; and for red meat lovers who really feel good and strong after feasting on a good steak or burger, they’d be better off thinking about kicking the red meat habit and eating more fish, which is widely considered a better, more healthy meal.

Fit & healthy!

Based on the foregoing, we should all have a better understanding of why our parents kept reminding us to eat more fruits and vegetables, because they give us energy in more natural ways and along the way they keep us fit, healthy and mostly free of toxicity; and coupled with a good, effective detox solution keeps harmful substances out of our bodies.
